Gigsville's Ten Year Reunion! (July 4th, 2008)

This seems as good a time as any to declare that I've declared that you
must reserve the weekend of July 4th, 2008 for the Gigsville Ten Year
Reunion. (I do know that technically it is 11 years, but I think
1998-2008 sounds better.)

What I know it will be: A multi day experience ala Twigsville, but I am
going to try to get as many people who feel like Gigsville has touched
them in some way (eeewww) to join us.

What I don't know yet: Where it will be or what it will look like. I
have a few ideas. You have a few ideas.

Things I would like to see happen: yearbook, maybe some sort of booth
where we can tell and record our stories. I don't know how much time I
have to devote to these ideas so if you think you'd like to head this
up, please contact me.

    Gigsville touched me ten years ago, and the experience was so not eeewww! ;-) I even touched back. Since then, sadly, not much touching. But some excellent memories of dragging junkyard rubber across the El Mirage lakebed to fuel a house-sized bonfire, happy birthday spankings counted out in Thai, and a soon-to-jet-set lost shoe....

        Wish it could be at El-Mirage for nostalgia sake, but fear we have grown too big over the years.

        But I did hear rumors of Brian and the others who like too uhm, say hi to us no longer being there, so would it be possible again? probably not.

        Eliza's traveling shoe, yeah. And Eliza's arrival: not knowing anyone there, not even ever having heard of Gigsville before, coming to meet someone who didn't show and who was bringing all their camping equipment, stopping first at a Christian revival camp before realizing they weren't us....

        Besides the online lists, hanging out with Elf a couple times, and running into Herr Rommel, that El Mirage trip 10 years ago was my only real Gigsville contact. But you freaks seriously rock!
